Healthcare Software Interface Redesign
Integrating brand systems and enabling confident navigation for surgeons…
…through complex intra-operative procedures by simplifying information architecture and visual information on the screen.
Infinity was a chance to simplify something complex. I worked on the interface layout, iconography, and information hierarchy to support surgeons through step-by-step navigation during cranial procedures. I collaborated on the industrial design to ensure proper cable management, equipment footprint, and ease of movement around the sterile field. Visually, I refined the UI to reflect the brand’s core values—precision, clarity, and calm confidence. It wasn’t just about function—it was about trust, about designing a system that feels intuitive when it matters most. This project shaped how I see design: as a way to translate purpose into experience.
Role : Founding Designer
HRS Navigation was entering a new phase of innovation and had an opportunity to elevate the way surgeons experience technology in the OR.
While the core engineering was robust, the product's interface, physical form, and brand expression had room to evolve into something more intuitive, refined, and emotionally resonant.
The challenge was exciting: to create a cohesive brand experience and redefine software interface to match the system’s technical precision with visual clarity and confidence.

Process
I began with deep clinical immersion—observing live surgeries, shadowing system training, and engaging with both surgeons and support staff.
These insights helped uncover not just usability touchpoints but also opportunities to enhance emotional ease and brand perception through design.
I translated these insights into:
A modular interface aligned with real-time feedback, making it easier to navigate high-stakes workflows
A visual system and hierarchy that conveyed calm, clarity, and control
Subtle brand-aligned visual cues that projected professionalism, precision, and premium quality
Contribution to physical form, ensuring the product felt both contemporary and easy to use within the OR environment
This wasn’t just a UI redesign—it was about shaping an experience that reflected the trust, intelligence, and innovation the brand already embodied internally.
The refreshed Infinity system created a more confident, human-centered experience for clinicians
Faster onboarding for new users through intuitive flow and guided visuals
Reduced friction during critical moments with a cleaner, clearer interface
Strengthened brand perception, with the product now visually communicating the innovation it delivers
Infinity was recognized with both the iF Design Award and the A’ Design Award, affirming the system’s thoughtful balance of clarity, functionality, and brand experience.
Outcome
This project was a brand shift for HRS—from a technology-focused product to a design-forward brand experience.
By leading the design for Infinity, I helped shape a system that didn’t just support surgeons—it reassured them, elevated their focus, and mirrored the excellence they bring to their work.
It’s a reminder that design doesn’t just solve problems—it builds trust, amplifies identity, and leaves people feeling empowered.
